Trackside Spares has made every effort to ensure product information contained on our website and in our literature is accurate at the time of production. Trackside spares will not be held responsible for any omissions, errors or price changes.
In order to successfully process your order we will require a daytime telephone number. This is for use for security checking or payment issues and we are unable to complete orders without this information.
For your convenience, this website contains links to other websites not controlled or monitored by Trackside Spares and as such, Trackside Spares accepts no responsibility for the content of the websites linked to or from this site. The links offered on this site are not endorsed or recommended by Trackside spares . Trackside spares disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied as to the accuracy, legality, reliability, or validity of any content on any other website.
- Standard 1st class royal mail £2.50 (Royal mails maximum compensation to a max of £20 + original postage charge)
- 1st class signed for by royal mail £4.80 (Royal mails maximum compensation to a max of £50+ original postage charge)
- Recorded and tracked / trace 1/2 day service by courier £8.95 (missing items replaced free of charge)
Due to problems with postage / shipping, customers now have a choice of the above posting methods / charges.
However, choosing either option of 1st class royal mail, whether signed for or not, will be at the purchasers risk.
Any claims of parcels not arriving will be up to the customer to claim / chase, compensation from royal mail. The original receipt as proof of postage will be sent to enable the customer to do so (via tracked post).
Trackside spares “will not” be responsible for any shipments that do not arrive “unless” they are sent via tracked and trace courier service. Customers are agreeing when making their purchase, that the choice of delivery and consequences of packages not arriving or damaged, is “their responsibility”.
This is the only way forward for us to be able to ship items at the lower cost, for smaller purchases.
Goods faulty on arrival
Any goods faulty on arrival must be reported to Trackside Spares within 7 days. When the product is received back by Trackside Spares the fault will be verified and the product will be replaced or refunded. All faulty electrical items will be sent back to the distributor or manufacturer for testing. This is for the manufacturer to determine whether the fault is through manufacturing defect or failure rather than abuse or misuse.
Damaged in transit
All goods damaged in transit should be reported to Trackside Spares within 48 hours. If the goods are visibly damaged on receipt, a note should be made on any relevant delivery paperwork accordingly. Once the damaged goods are received back to Trackside spares a full refund by the original payment method, or replacement will be issued.
Goods faulty within warranty period
If a product bought from Trackside Spares develops a fault within the warranty period you are entitled to a warranty repair. You must first contact Trackside Spares for a warranty return number and return the product to our premises in accordance with the above. Trackside spares will then inspect the unit and where possible/allowed by the distributor refund or replace the product. Some items such as electrical equipment, engines etc, will be sent to the relevant distributor for testing before any replacement or credit will be given. This is to check for abuse and misuse.
Any items received back by Trackside Spares that are tested and found to have no fault may incur a handling charge. Any handling charge will be based on individual case circumstances and is not a flat rate charge.
Non faulty returns
If you have changed your mind following purchasing goods from Trackside Spares, it is possible to return goods for refund or exchange. Trackside Spares must be informed of the decision to return goods within 7 days of receipt by you. The goods to be returned must not be opened or used and must be in “as new” condition when returned to us. Once Trackside Spares has been informed, you must return the goods within 7 days in order to receive a refund via the original payment method or an exchange for other goods. The refund will be less any postage charges incurred by Thumbs Designs. Some goods are excluded from the returns option such as special order goods. If a seal on the goods packaging has been broken, 20% of the retail amount for the goods will automatically be deducted from the refund.
Before any items are returned to Trackside Spares please ensure you have done the following:
1) Have a valid returns number issued by an Trackside Spares member of staff.
2) Enclose all accessories originally included with the goods unless otherwise informed.
3) Return in the original external packaging as received by you.
4) Ensure that the full address listed below is clearly visible on the outside of the packaging.
5) Use a label to clearly display the returns number.
6) Do not under any circumstances write on the original goods box or packaging.
7) Securely seal the packaging using a similar method as per the original delivery.
8) Ensure all returns are sent via recorded delivery with a form of insurance. Trackside Spares will not be held liable for any packages lost or damaged in transit. All returns are done at the purchaser’s risk.

Please note that it is not possible to return or cancel goods specially ordered for you, unless they are faulty. In these cases the above faulty goods procedure must be adhered to.
